Here at Bickershaw Church of England Primary School, phonics is taught on a daily basis through ‘Letters & Sounds’ by the staff in the EYFS and Key Stage 1. The teachers supplement their teaching by using an interactive program called ‘Phonics Play’ which covers the 6 stages.
In addition to the discretely taught phonic sessions, the reading schemes that are used are:
Oxford Reading Tree Phonics.
Project X Phonics
Dandelion Launcher Phonics
READING SCHEMES at Key Stage 1
