Ethos Group

The Ethos group in our school meet to discuss and take part in a range of activities. These range from contributing towards wider projects from the Church Wigan hub to organising charity events to support good causes.

Last year the Ethos Group raised a total of £684.32 for local, national and global charities including Daffodils Dreams, The British Red Cross, for the Turkey/Syria earthquake, The World Wildlife Fund and The Lily Foundation.

The Ethos Group held a bake sale to support Turkey/Syria following the earthquake.

Children in the Ethos Group felt that raising money for the families affected by the Turkey/Syria earthquake was a worthy cause to support and decided to raise money for this through a cake sale. Donations of cakes were given by families and staff and these were then sold by our Ethos Group governors and children. We were overwhelmed with donations of cakes meaning we were able to host a second cake sale the following week with both events raising collectively £429.72.

Ethos Group Afternoon Tea

Children in the Ethos Group held an afternoon tea in church for the people in the community. The children raised £117.50, which was donated to The Lily Foundation.

Christmas Fair Crafts

The Ethos Group made reindeer toffee jars and bracelets to sell at the Christmas Fair to raise money for school and church.
