Schools are obligated to ensure appropriate filters and appropriate monitoring systems are in place. Children should not be able to access harmful or inappropriate material from the school or colleges IT system. At Bickershaw, we access the internet through the local authority, which uses RM Safety Net to filter content.

At Bickershaw we use Senso, which is designed with the UK Government Prevent duty, UK Safer Internet Centre, the UK Department for Education’s Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) guidance and with keyword and URL lists from the Internet Watch Foundation(IWF).

 

The Senso next generation cloud-based safeguarding module aids schools in fulfilling their legal duty of care around online safety and safeguarding.
